Geography Team 1 www.ancientegypt.co.uk/geography/index.html The two different types of lands in ancient Egypt is the 'Black Land' and the 'Red Land.' The 'Black Land' is the fertile land of the Nile. The people of Egypt used this land to grow crops. This was the only land that they could farm on because of the layering. After the Nile flooding every year they black silt was put there.
The 'Red Land' was the desert that protected Egypt on two sides. These deserts seperate close countries and invading armies. The deserts also provided the ancient Egyptians with metal and stone.
This lands were very helpful to Ancient Egyptians in these many ways.
